How to Sell Using Social Media

Today I want to share with you a secret on selling with social media that so many people don’t know. Last weekend I was in Warri, Delta State to facilitate a training on Social Media Marketing and something I noticed among the participants struck me. What struck me was that many of the participants didn’t know how to sell using social media and some that new How To weren’t comfortable selling on social media.

I never knew this was a challenge especially the aspect of not feeling comfortable about selling on social media.  Please if you have this challenge, its your mindset and you should renew your mind about selling on social media. You have a solution that someone on the other side of a PC, phone or tablet need, selling it to them is actually a service to humanity and your profit is a reward. After-all if you use facebook or Instagram like I do, then you and me are Mark Zukerbergs products (story for another day)

In my soon to be released book on digital marketing I addressed this issues in detail but let me quickly list the right way to sell on social media. They are

• Content is the way. Share on your personal profile everyday for 2 weeks post on how your products or service benefits who ever will use it.
• Showcase a professional brand Image by making sure your display picture is a professional head shot and your banner is well designed.
• Respond to comments on your various post on social media and be courteous.
• Post your sales pitch woven with a story and give special discounts with a sense of urgency.
• For Instagram make sure your product Image are of exceptional quality and use the right Hastags
